Story

A Quiet Bushcraft Line

Emberwood is practical, natural and grounded — designed to bring a quiet sense of Northern Rivers bushcraft into everyday life.

Emberwood is a collection of small timber creations made entirely from native woods gathered on private bushland in the Northern Rivers region. Each object starts life as a fallen limb, a discarded offcut, or a naturally shed piece of grass tree — material that has already been shaped by the climate and terrain.

We plane, cut, carve and sand each piece by hand. No two Emberwood pieces are identical; each holds the marks of its past life in the forest, from insect tracks and knots to fire-scorched edges and resin lines.

Boxes, trays, inlays, desk objects and hybrid resin–timber pieces are all crafted slowly and deliberately. Emberwood exists to make use of what would otherwise weather back into the ground — turning it into functional, beautiful objects that still feel like they belong to the bush.
